Life can oftentimes be hectic. With a seemingly endless list of professional and personal obligations, there is little time to do many of the extra things that you like, such as reading. However, there are small changes you can make throughout your day to make more time for reading.
Ditch Some Television
If you have a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday night show, it might be a good time to ditch some of your television. Extensive television watching isn't good for your intellectual health, but also takes up time that you could be spending doing something else, such as finishing the book you've been reading for months.
If you're watching several hours of television a week, now is a good time to scale back. If you simply can't part with your shows, consider recording them so that you can watch them on the weekends when you have more time.
Have an Hour of Power
If cleaning and household chores are taking up your time, consider dedicating an hour of power to these tasks when you come home each night. With this idea, you'd spend a single hour each night, working as hard as you can to complete household tasks like laundry and cleaning.
Once the hour has passed, whatever isn't finished must be left for the next day. If you get the entire family involved, not only will you have more time to spend for more enjoyable activities, cleaning your home will be easier.
Set Quiet Time
If you have younger children, this is likely one of the reasons you can't find time to read. Children are often demanding, especially when it comes to your time. Everyone needs their own time and just because you're parent this does not exclude you from this idea.
Consider setting a pre-set quiet time for everyone in the house. During this time, everyone must go into their rooms and remain there until the time has expired. Just how long the time is needs to be based on the age of your children, for very young children this might only be twenty minutes. But however long it is, this is time you can dedicate solely to reading.
You might not know it, but you've got plenty of time for reading. Look for small changes that you can make in your life and head out and pick up some new WWI fiction novels for your enjoyment.
Whether you're into romance on the high seas or intrigue in the space, finding a good novel to read is a must. I love to read on my days off from work, but it's not easy finding the right book. I generally visit the local bookstore for novels. Unfortunately, the store doesn't always have what I like. I finally searched online for books. It wasn't an easy search, but I found exactly what I wanted and a lot more. I want to share what I've learned with you. My blog offers simple tips on how to locate the best authors and books, as well as what to do when you can't. Reading allows you to explore places you might not get to see or visit.
